Akatsuki Resort has a homely atmosphere inspired by Kyoto homes and the tradition Thai family unit. It is ideal for holidays with a group of friends, family or for small business conferences looking for complete privacy and the ability to take over a small villa in its entirety.

The villa is a mastermind creation of the architect Riccardo Tossani. Inspired by a fusion of modern Thai and Japanese aesthetics, Tossani has elegantly combined these two styles to create a sophisticated and relaxing ambiance that blends perfectly into the tropical environment.

The six individually designed suites, named after the elements, are exquisitely furnished with bespoke pieces from the well acclaimed designer, Cassina.  Each suite, with its own unique feel exudes nothing less than total tropical indulgence, while reflecting the epitome of lavish comfort.

The villa can accommodate up to 17 guests at one time and with the carefully selected team of highly trained and experienced staff members, guests are ensured of the ultimate service experience.

Natural beauty is encompassed in the surroundings that envelop the residence. Breathtaking backdrops, combined with the Cassina interior, reflect an idea of comfort and quality, blurring the line between external nature and interior opulence.

The stylized structure allows for incredible amounts of space and light creating natural ventilation and shade for optimum guest comfort with minimal use of artificial energy.

The accent of soft, warm hues of the recycled timber, accentuate these open spaces through the beams in the vaulted ceilings and the vertical louver recycled wood screens.  Derived from Japanese architecture, the chic louver screens are cooling and provide privacy whilst adding stylish opportunities for ventilation with no compromise on the view.

This premium villa accepts only one private booking per stay enabling guests to have the entire villa.

The villa has 6 suites, some with additional beds and bedrooms and is able to accommodate up to 17 guests in comfort. This villa is both secluded and accessible; there is peace and privacy in abundance, yet still within walking distance of several good restaurants.

One room has a loft that can sleep an additional two guests. There are also two suites that have additional rooms and beds for children, for when parents want their small children in close proximity.

The villa’s design and build quality, easily surpasses most villas on the island, while the Thai/Japanese design influence combines pure luxury with a true sense of relaxation. The villa has a sound system throughout, a top quality theatre room and many entertainment areas both indoors and outdoors.

Uni (Ocean) suite

Set beside the sea this is the stunningly located master suite.

A rich and provocative space is created with the vaulted wood beamed ceilings, spectacular views and tactile silks. The king size bed is positioned centre stage.

The stylish ensuite is fitted with a wall of glass sliding doors allowing you to soak in the large bath tub while overlooking the Gulf of Thailand’s calm waters.

Sora (Sky) suite

This suite is located on the Atrium’s second floor. Exquisitely furnished throughout this large suite allows you to get away from it all. Cooling louver shades create a shaded sanctuary and the large private balcony is ideal for late private lunches or to simply unwind with a good book.

Mizu (Water) suite

This is a tranquil suite that overlooks the plunge pool, garden and spa.

The suite has a gorgeous outdoor backdrop and two single beds positioned in the centre of the room. With sumptuous bedding and soothing colour palette this creates the perfect bedroom sanctuary.

Raku (Comfort) suite

A truly personal space this suite is located on a private floor of its own in the main atrium.

The king size bed has commanding views of the residence and sea. The Japanese inspired design of the mezzanine floor with additional single futon mattresses is ideal for family parties or simply, in-room massage treatments.

Kokoro (Heart) suite

Translated Kokoro means ‘heart,’ earning its name from the coconut palm tree that is situated in a lush tropical garden in the centre of the suite. Inspiration meets practicality with the exquisite design of the vaulted ceilings creating a true sense of space, as the sumptuous king size bed resides centre stage overlooking the private garden lounge area and pool. The burnt oranges and deep red colour palette contrast with the deeper tones of the wood exuding a warm uplifting feel with more than just a hint of glamour.

The interior architecture of the ensuite bathroom is elegant and open in style with a powerful rain shower and slip into and soak tub. Kokoro also features an additional single bedroom privately located at the north side of the suite.

Cascading seamlessly into each other, the three tier pools are sleek by design and are the central feature in the residence. 

The main infinity pool situated beach-side, is perfect for that much needed cool down and its long rectangular shape with graduating levels allows for swimming and chilling simultaneously. 

The shallower children’s pool is located next to the sala, which offers a sun sheltered haven for parents to sit and relax in poolside comfort, whilst watching the kids swim and play.

The elegant reflection pool with its bronzed body contour reflective beds is a cooling sun worshipers dream.

Villa 4338 endeavours to provide only the best for its guests and steers vehemently away from any chemical toxins used in the pool, using only a high quality UV filter system, completely chemical free.

Kitchen

The villa offers a fully equipped western family sized kitchen for guests to enjoy.

The large preparation area with overlooking breakfast bar and state of the art appliances, coupled with the pool view dining area, round off this kitchen to perfection.

There is an Illy-coffee machine and Mariage Frères exquisite selection of tea for that much needed wake up call.  Japanese shaved ice cream maker for kids and adults alike to indulge in, are welcome thoughtful additions.

The talented private chef is a culinary wizard who explores inventive cuisines from Japan, Thailand and around the world. Mouth-watering masterpieces are tailored to your requests.

Feel free to eat any of your meals while relaxing on the terrace in front of the ocean, in the dining pavilion, or even in the living pavilion, just as you would be at home. We cater South East Asian dishes from Thailand and Japan, as well as European cuisines such as Italian, with emphasis on local fresh seafood.

Guests can choose from an alfresco BBQ on the ocean-facing terrace to a lavish meal in the dining pavilion, to breakfast in bed or a specially made picnic for a day on the beach.

A-Spa

A-Spa has been designed to ensure complete relaxation and pampering of our guests.  The serenely designed in-residence spa area is nestled amongst lush tropical vegetation.  Its tranquil setting includes a beautiful private plunge pool, cooled by its shaded location alongside a spacious and comfortable treatment room.

A-Spa has a tempting indulgent menu complimented by the high end Spa Botanica products.  Spa menu features a range of aromatic body treatments, natural scrubs and relaxing wraps, as well as facial treatments, Thai massage, manicures, pedicures and waxing.

Special attention is paid to the use of natural ingredients suitable for all skin types at A-Spa with rare plant essences, exotic oils, Thai spices and fruits, complimenting therapies by nurturing the skin, assisting in relaxation and working intrinsically with detoxification. 

A wide range of A-Spa massage and relaxation therapies can also be conducted in the privacy of guests own suites, or other chosen open spaces such as the Atrium or poolside sala.
