Villa 116 is a private and exclusive villa.  It is sited on a forest clad hillside, overlooking the bays of Taka Maka and Anse Intendance and provides the ultimate hideaway setting.  Intendance Bay is a few minutes’ walk from the villa.

The villa is styled in a Creole blend which is influenced by African, Chinese, English, French and Indian cultures.   Ornate Haveli doors brought in from India are a key feature. They allow a constant flow of air through all parts of the villas keeping the rooms cool and comfortable. Items like the flooring, windows, furniture, carpets and decor have come from different countries evoking an elegant colonial quality from the 1920s and 1930s.

The villa has been built to have minimal impact on the environment, incorporating large rocks and trees into the structure where necessary.  Other environmentally green practices have been used to reduce energy consumption in every way possible without impacting negatively on the comfort expectations of guests.

The rooms have each been individually created and decorated to offer an unparalleled experience.  Furnishings and decor consist of hand crafted antique furniture, recycled products and eclectic objets d’art coming together to evoke a strong, emotional appeal.

A two story building is sited between large rock formations facing the breathtaking view of Intendance Bay.  It has been designed to provide privacy between the two bedroom areas upstairs and the lounge, dining and kitchen areas downstairs.

Beside the lounge is an elevated library/entertainment area with a fascinating granite wall protruding into the room.

There is a central infinity pool with overflow design on three sides and a granite wall on the end.  Not far from the pool is a separate guest house.

The front and side of the buildings is surrounded by a flat roofed veranda with colonnades, which makes a pleasant place to dine and relax.

There is also a sala by the pool suitable for massages or another place for outstanding al fresco dining.  Nearby you may enter a rock cave that houses a Jacuzzi.

Combined this makes an extensive outdoor living environment, surrounded by large granite rock outcrops and the high perimeter wall ensuring total privacy and exclusivity.

Accommodation

All bedrooms are large and spacious.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed, an elevated study/work area, a large dressing area and bathroom.

A second bedroom also has a king sized bed.  A third bedroom has one king sized bed and one queen sized bed. There is also a fourth bedroom.

Two bedrooms are in cottages with separate access pathways.  This allows for family members like teenagers, or personal employees, being able to come and go without disturbing the main house.

Below the guest house, there is a service/utility room which may also be used as the temporary butler accommodation.

Location

The villa is situated on the south of the main island of the Seychelles overlooking Intendance Bay.   Down a short access road, a small distance from the Banyan Tree Hill villas.   There is a well camouflaged high perimeter wall surrounding the property to ensure security and privacy.

The villa may also be rented with the one or two bedrooms units only.  Please inquire about rates and availability.  All rates are quoted in Euros and are for the exclusive use of the whole residence per night unless stated.
